An administration schema could be understood as as the instructions on how to administer a medicine. It is a set of information needed by the patient which should indicate how the doctor wants this medicine to be administered.
A drug may be administered by several ways depending on medicine presentation, concentration, each physician’s characteristics and on pathological entities and situations.
Each medicine may be associate to one or more administration schema, which has the following advantages:
The doctor may configure only once the medications most used and after that configured he/she could create recipes safely, detailed, and quickly – see also Associating Administration Schemas with medications.
Transform natural language in a coded language that could be understandable by the stock control system
Transform natural language in parts which may become possible to convert posologic units in commercial units and by this manner allow the doctor to create his/her prescriptions or recipes in the way he/she is used to (making the comprehension easy by the patient) but at the same time allowing the system to convert the administration schema in coded language what would let the system understand what the doctor is saying and converting those text to commercial units, making easy calculations of hwo many box of a given medicine should de patient buy in order to accomplish a 2 months treatment. Converting posologic units, to commercial units is sure a powerful resource in MedSoft®.
Make possible to chose a different administration schema during prescription or recipe elaboration
